Simplicity

So yesterday night my family went to Changkat Bukit Bintang which is a street in KL for dinner. This road can be more or less described as a food street. It is entirely devoted to food and the street even came out in the papers.

Firstly, I would like to highlight this is Malaysia.

Continuing... So there's food everywhere, all kinds from South American to Italian and even to local food. Anything in Malaysia.

So we're walking looking for a place to eat. There are people outside the restaurants beckoning us to come in and sample their food when the ulterior motive is of course,

Please pay my salary. Who's isn't?

Needless to say we came across an indian restaurant. Serving, for those who may hazard a guess, indian food.
So as i said earlier people outside saying all sorts of things to get us to eat their food. Now there is an indian waitress (or malay can't remember) outside advertising the shop. And she asks

Have you ever tried indian food?

Now I'm chinese, and i don't mean to brag but we eat everything, (in a black accent)E-V-E-R
-Y-T-H-A-N-G.
But that's besides the point. Be it chinese, malay, indian or whatever race this great country has to offer, why do you ask if we have ever tried indian food? I mean it's practically the second most staple food in the country!! (excluding indians which of course is their first). So one needs to consider why she asked this question.

To give her credit the shop was in KL. Major tourist spot in Malaysia i mean it's the city, so she might have thought we were from China or something. Ok ok something i may consider.

For those who know, i speak english well. What mainland chinese speaks English well??? Though not unheard of but you have to admit it's pretty rare. It's important to note that she asked us this after she heard me and my family conversing.

SO in conclusion, I do not blame the waitress for this serious transgression to our country. We as humans do sometimes lack the necessary brainpower to procees instant situations, yes, myself included, hence all we can blame is the higher evolutionary level that humans have not advanced to yet.

Ole?!?
